Drop down to the next village of West Harptree to find a village Spar open until 7pm every evening and well stocked with most things you could need.

Supermarkets in surrounding areas, Tesco Midsomer Norton. Waitrose,Tesco and Morrisons in Wells and small Co op in Chew Magna.

How far is the nearest pub ?

Do you allow fires ?

As long as they are not directly on the grass, yes. You are most welcome to bring your own bbq/fire pit or hire one from us.

Do you sell firewood ?

We sell tubs of firewood for £5 or wheelbarrow of logs for £10.

You can collect FALLEN wood from our woods.

Is there a kids play area ?

We have a climbing frame with a slide, swing and pirate swing in The Woodland Field and a large playhouse and slide in The Lakeview Field. There is also a den making area in the woods.

Do you allow large parties / single sex groups ?

Generally no but sometimes it can be accommodated, you would need to email with details.

Are dogs welcome ?

The campsite welcomes up to 2 well behaved dogs per unit, kept on a lead whilst on site.

The Safari Retreat allows one. Due to its size it is not advisable for a dog in The Woodland Pod however a small well behaved dog could be accommodated.

Do you allow music ?

Generally no, other peoples music can be very distracting to campers unless at a volume only audible to your tent/unit. Acoustic guitars are fine but all music should stop by 10pm.

Can we camp next to our friends?

Generally yes, if you are on electric hook up look at layout and book accordingly. If non electric the pitches are not marked out allowing you to choose an area so you should be able to find an area and camp together. If a mixture of both electric and non electric plots 4 and 5 are end plots in the woodland field and there is non electric space around the hook ups in The Lakeview Field.

If you have friends staying in the Viewing Platform, Safari tent or wooden pod you will be close to them if you choose The Woodland Field.

If we book one field and want to change fields when we arrive is that ok?

This very rarely happens but you would need to ask first. You would most likely have to move if you didn’t.

If we can accommodate then we do our best.
